Area 4
This is the top part of the garden. Originally part of it was covered in blossoming bushes and the remains of an old shed.
This part is not completed yet and there were several ideas of what to do with it. At first, I turned it into a vegetable garden and we had a relatively acceptable crop two years in a row.
I decided, however, that it would be of better use as the main play area, mainly because of its size and possibly, being the easiest to level-off.
The plan is for a small wall/broad stone-covered path to be build in the middle, with the trampoline and slide/climbing frame on top and just grassy area below. I also placed the rabbits here as it was sheltered by the hedge and I want to ultimately place a shed there too, after the children have grown up.
Not many changes are planned for the area at the top end of the garden. The only current idea is to create an alpineium there, completed with a seat/bench of some sort in the corner.
The current use for this part of the garden is to host the recycling bins and the water butt, conveniently covered by a lot of shrubbery. Here are also the berries area: strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and the black-currant bush.
